Today was so nice! The weather is cool here, we went to downtown Gilbert today. We lunched, walked around and stopped for coffee. We ate at Barrio Queen- best Mexican food in the valley! They've got a couple locations so look them up. Their guac is, handsdown, thee best. Made tableside and they serve it with pomegranate seeds. YUM. Didn't get a photo of lunch, but I snapped a quick picture of our coffee and treats from Romeo's Euro Cafe I had an iced spiced chai (not pictured- it took a while to make) that was delicious and well worth the wait. Mom picked out this chocolate covered coconut macaroon. It was so good!
It was a fun vibe and felt very much like a European cafe.
I plan to spend tomorrow preparing for the holiday coming up this week. Since it's just my parents and I again this year, we are eating out. My siblings are both married with their own families and in-laws, so Thanksgiving dinner is ususally just the 3 of us until the evening when everyone else comes over for coffee and dessert. I think the last two years, we've eaten out and it's so relaxing! After dinner we take a suuuper long walk to walk off what we ate and enjoy each other's company. I am so looking forward to it!!
What are your plans for Thanksgiving?
