This weekend, we went on a little "Stay-cation" here in Scottsdale, Arizona. We stayed at the Westin Kierland and had the most amazing time! They have a lazy river, two different pools, golf course, and everything that you would need for fun in the sun!
Not to mention, it's right across the street from the finest dining and shopping options here in the Valley. The restaurants at the hotel itself were amazing! I loved just getting away for the night- it really does feel like a vacation!
It's weird, to us Phoenix and Scottsdale seem so ordinary but once you see what people come here to see and experience, just seeing this state with a different perspective and even though it's hot as Hades here right now, I saw my home state in a completely different light and it made me appreciate it that much more! If you can look past to 100+ degree temps, it really is beautiful in it's own way! Haha. Just so long as you're by the pool with a virgin Pina Colada ;)
Here are some photos that I took. I didn't take very many- I was having too much fun!
My sister and I both tried the Phoenix Noodle. I had mine without chicken while she added chicken to hers. It was a delicious bowl of sno peas, udon noodles, chili-crusted pecans, scallions, cabbage and a mandarin orange sesame dressing. Lydia and I are both fans of Asian salads and both agreed it was superb!
